·        It's not every day you get a chance at buying a female out of such an influential sow as 142-4. And it always fascinates us how long it takes us to figure out who the true influential females are: it is honestly more evident after their tenure here than during, as was the case with Jack Daniels 142-4. Her and her sister 142-2 were responsible for more than 3 dozen daughters, granddaughters, and great daughters currently residing in the herd and if you go back through the Legacy Sale 36 lots offered, it seems that they're mentioned in nearly half of those lots as well. Bottom line: this is the REALLY good stuff, and an even better opportunity in that 1-7's sire is DIFFERENT LEAGUE. This gilt is extremely powerful in how she's put together, both from a muscle and bone standpoint. We bought Loud N Clear to run back across our DL daughters, and we are sticking to the plan with this mating: they should be not only very genetically valuable, but also very stout, easy to sell pigs!  

Whether you like to try to make classifying hogs or just to make killer crosses, anyone can appreciate this 22-4 gilt because she's extremely impressive. She's a direct daughter of Outta Line 191-1 (pictured), who made a huge impact for us here and of whom we have many daughters -- (Last Dance 191-11 pictured is one of them). 191-1 would be the grand dam of the DL 48 boar we have studded at Newcastle Genetics who we believe will do great things and is already off to an incredible start. Over 9 parities, 191-1 averaged 11.72 born alive, 11 weaned and just as important, her pigs were killer! She herself wins the heavy cross gilt class at Arizona Nationals and then she turned around and made a phenomenal sow, her pedigree was Outta Line x Wedding Night x Fortune x Pipeline. 22-4's first mating to DL 61 in our opinion gives their new owner a chance at some Berk-classifiers, which would fit the bill perfectly for CA State Fair or CYAE out here in our neck of the woods. Regardless of what they look like color-wise, there's no doubt they will be extra stout and should prove valuable come January.

80-12 is the kind of female it takes (and has the kind of pedigree it takes) to make show pigs that win in today's day and age. She's sired by the popular Out For Blood boar at Laird's that we absolutely loved when we saw him as a young boar: he was so ahead of the curve in terms of build and correctness and it wasn't a surprise for us when he went on quite a winning tear his first season. Her dam, American Spirit 15-5 (pictured) and her sister 15-6 (also pictured) are big time players for us here in Colusa. The American Spirits have made incredible show pig females and these two are the best of the best. 80-12 hailed from an awesome litter with two mates that posted wins consistently in Oklahoma last winter. 80-12 comes in a correct built, extended and attractive package with a long neck and cool look. Mated to the powerhouse, barrel-ribbed Heavyweight for her first parity should set her new owner up for success right off the bat! 

204-5 is the oldest female we are offering between both sales, and she's also perhaps the most accomplished. She is the dam of the Grand Overall Barrow at the Michigan Livestock Expo in 2023 that was sired by My Intention, and we received more comments and congrats on that particular barrow than any in recent history: he was truly an incredible creature. 204-5 has truly had extremely good litters each trip through the crate, with her Different Leagues last winter yielding our lot 1 in the big February farm sale this year (pictured): our biggest sale of the year. She continues to prove her capability with each litter and her career stats: 9 average born alive, 8.14 weaned over 8 litters. She goes back to the real good stuff on the bottomside of her pedigree, which reads: Short Bus 64-2 x Sunshine & Whiskey 27-6 x Renig 28-9 x Perfect Remedy 4-8. Her service sire DL 112-8 needs to see more use and he is what typically works well here: big muscled, powered up, and stout featured. We'd expect 50/50 belts/whites with this mating and some dang fun pigs to sell come January. 

68-9 did not want her photo taken on picture day, but we will showcase her in the preview on Friday 11/7 at 3 pm PST and also take a video with commentary to post to the online sale as well. She's another great example of the kind of female that gets the job done for our program day in and day out. Sired by the Cobb boar On the Money and out of a highly linebred Lockjaw x Shine On momma, she's great built, attractive designed, and still extra stout. She's weaned 16 pigs out of her last two litters with an average weaning weight of 110 lbs, and her pigs have been very good. Her February Different League pigs were very well received (pictured is a gilt from our June 2 sale), however we'd expect these DL 26's to be her best effort yet. 

As popular as the light cross divisions are starting to become at shows across the country, there is a TON of value in a super sexy blue sow like 135-5. 135-8 and her sister 135-8 have each had two litters for us and both proven to be very profitable sows that can make winners. We'd encourage you to check out lot 29 in Saturday's Legacy Sale, who would be Savior back on 135-8 (135-5's sister). Her description is as follows: It's no secret that we sell a TON of pigs to the Jackson County Fair in Oregon every year and it's widely hailed as the most competitive fair in the state and one of the most in the western US: it is REALLY tough to win Jackson County Fair! 144-10's brother shown by Scotland Brotherton got it done this year, and he was coined "Electric Blue" by judge Ryan Rash and even received the famous glitter slap in the process. "Electric Blue" enjoyed a successful show career aside from Jackson County and was also Grand Overall at the Stateline Jackpot. Dam 135-8 here has done a very good job for us, she's raised two litters with an average of 11 born alive and 10 weaned. In regards to 135-5, we'd chime in: 135-5 has also averaged 11 born and ten weaned over two litters with a 125 lb weaning weight. Her Savior litter, the 162's offered in our February farm sale this spring (3 lot photos included) , were equally as impressive as her sister's litter, and while one of them didn't win the Jackson County Fair they sold EXTREMELY well and were the right kind. We believe this mating to DL 61 should be her best match yet and I'd expect them to prove quite valuable come January. 

One thing that was rather easy to notice once we turned Different League loose on the sowherd was how dynamite the Different League x American Spirit mating always seemed to be. And it makes perfect sense: American Spirits are typically taller fronted, sharper necked sows with a big pinset which is exactly what we always suggest to folks asking what to use Different League on. Anyways, once that combo became evident that it worked, we replicated it as much as we could. The best example of that combo was "Jewels", shown by the Neuenschwander kids last spring, who was absolutely incredible. She gathered up banners everywhere she went and we truly believe had she been able to show at an Expo type event she'd have been WAY WAY up there! 148-5 here should prove a rather wise investment for her new owner: we've said time and again that these Different League females will be worth their weight in gold and we are already seeing that here in Colusa. This one's first mating to American Gangster should prove colorful, and also it will line up the great End Game sow at Streber's: DL's grandma and OG's mom!

181-5 shares the same dam as lot 6 and she represents another awesome opportunity for those wanting to chase the light cross game. The Outta Line 74-12 momma here has proven far more influential than we ever thought, and she's placed over a half dozen daughters back into the herd and they have had some staying power as well. 181-5 is a gorgeous designed young sow that's farrowed two litters and weaned 9 pigs each time. She's about as tall fronted and long-necked as anything you'll find in Colusa and at the same time she's probably the heaviest structured Rowdy Rebound daughter we've ever kept. Again, this is the kind that not only keeps us in business, but has kept us at the forefront for years: mate her to a power boar and watch the wins come! And if DL 112-4 isn't a power boar, we don't know what is! 

232-5 is the dam of lot 15 in this same sale and she's a big time Heavy Hitter daughter that can instantly help make your firm relevant in the solid white or light cross show pig game. We used Heavy Hitter extremely hard for summer of '23 litters and as a result we have a plethora of daughters to show for it-- time will tell, but we expect they will not only be building blocks but also be responsible for more winners than any other sire's daughters for us the next couple years. 232-5 and her sister 232-7 were the two most impressive white ones out of that initial crop and thus far, they've served us very well. Sister 232-7 has averaged 11 born, 11 weaned, and 135 lb weaning weight and 232-5's spring litter weaned 10 for 120 lb weaning weight. On top of this, 232-5's dam 167-9 (3 Peat x On Target 108-2 x Renig 28-8) and her two sisters have been cornerstone females for us and they hail from the same great sow family that built our cross program. For those who like numbers: 9-10's mom and sisters have averaged 12 born alive, 8.6 weaned over 6 litters (167-9), 11.33 born alive, 8.66 weaned over 6 litters (167-7),  10.9 born alive, 7.33 weaned over 7 litters (167-11). 232-5 is mated to Game Plan for two reasons: 1) phenotypically it should be a near perfectly complimentary mating, and 2) the calico sire on the topside should lend to more solid white offspring, plus we think the daughters here can be incredible. Game Plan has an absolutely enormous hind leg, and he's a boar we all need to utilize more while we still have a chance. 

124-11 is the dam of the really impressive 32-9 gilt that's being offered in the Legacy Sale this weekend and she herself is no slouch! Her phenotype and color make her as capable as any within the entire offering of raising a herdboar or a barrow that wins a major. She's an extra extended, sharper jawed female that at the same time is big legged and has IDEAL hair texture (that comes from OCD btw). At the same token, she's got momma's productivity bred in, and has averaged 8 born and 8 weaned over her first three litters. There's NO DOUBT that her pending mating to the powerhouse DL 61 will be her best yet and we'd be betting on some killer midwest state fair/CYAE sized barrows coming out of that deal! 

If you're looking for a "sure bet" type female that will farrow and raise pigs, there's no such thing in this business but 158-7 is as close as you're gonna get! She's currently carrying her second litter and her first litter stats: 14 born, 3 transferred off, raised and weaned the other 11 for 140 lb weaning weight. It doesn't get much better than that for a first parity show pig momma that is capable of raising champions. Phenotypically, she's extra tall fronted, long necked, and super shapely and we'd expect her mating to DL 112-1 to be absolutely IDEAL! 

40-5 has been a special sow for us and one that's generated well and helped pay the bills. We've included a photo of her from two years ago and also a photo of her sister at that time and her brother BD 40-1, who we studded here and used hard before sending to Top Cut. BD 40-1 went on to sire the 51-2 boar who we used hard in our program and did a phenomenal job. Over 6 litters, 40-5 has averaged 7.16 weaned and we wish we could keep track of average pig value because we think that figure would be pretty high with her. Like her dad and brother, 40-5 has always been extra stout boned and skulled and honestly was always ahead of the game from that perspective. This mating to AG we think should be spot on: he will add shot more look, shape, and elevation and maintain stoutness of feature to a high level. 40-5 should prove a very wise investment. 

We'd bet that if someone was able to tally how many major champion crossbred barrows were out of End Game sows it would number more than any other dam's sire. There's no doubt more of our winners have been out of End Game mommas and they've proven their value time and again -- no doubt our most famous two are End Game 153-8 and 153-9. They are littermates to "Mr. Shag", our Exchange entry in 2022 that stood at Southern Gold Sires. Just as important, they are dammed by the great Up Down 124-8 sow (Lexi's Reserve Grand at ANLS and dam of 51-2 at Top Cut), and that makes the great 142-2 Jack Daniels "Dory" sow their grandma. As a working female, 153-9 hasn't just been eye candy: she's made WAY MORE than her share of high dollar baby pigs. Her two highest selling litters were sired by Buckle Up and Different League, and she has a KILLER daughter currently working within the herd out of her No Stranger litter. On top of that, she's been rather productive: farrowing 44 live pigs in her last 4 litters and averaged 9.5 weaned with a 120 lb weaning weight. We were thinking for the future with her mating to DL 26 -- there should be some tremendous genetic value in these pigs and the barrows could be flat incredible. 

If you're in the market for the one that could raise a great one, raise a high dollar boar, raise a State Fair champion, well then you may want to look in here at 185-10. She sure is easy to love visually and is the kind that brings power and stoutness in a very fault free package. But what gives us so much confidence in her is rather her genotype than her phenotype. She's out of an incredible litter -- mate barrows can be viewed in the archives in our February sale from this year, they were some of the VERY BEST in our major sale of the year. Her sire, 51-2 at Top Cut, was probably the most under-appreciated boar we've produced and was extremely line bred, and her End Game x Outbreak 111-8 dam is extremely prepotent. There would be multiple, multiple shots of Super Monster in 185-10's pedigree if you could write it out, and on top of that it's STACKED with real catalyst sows within our program: Outbreak 141-7, Sunshine & Whiskey 104-1, Up Down 124-8. Here's the most exciting part: her mating to DL 48 should be absolutely incredible and she could get that BIG goal done in her first parity. 

109-7 "Lainey" is out of lot 9 in this same sale and she's one tremendously impressive solid white crossbred gilt. She was a show gilt for Bella Corzine this past spring and summer and did extremely well considering she's sired by a purebred York boar. She's always had lots of power in terms of muscle with a big pinset, gigantic features, and that wicked cool front end that everyone loves to talk about. These traits combined with the cool fact that she is out of the stud York boar All By Myself makes her a tremendous breeding piece: these are the kind that make high dollar boars and baby pigs that win big barrow shows. Stats on her sow line pulled from lot 9's description: 232-5 and her sister 232-7 were the two most impressive white ones out of that initial crop (of Heavyweights) and thus far, they've served us very well. Sister 232-7 has averaged 11 born, 11 weaned, and 135 lb weaning weight and 232-5's spring litter weaned 10 for 120 lb weaning weight. On top of this, 232-5's dam 167-9 (3 Peat x On Target 108-2 x Renig 28-8) and her two sisters have been cornerstone females for us and they hail from the same great sow family that built our cross program. Here in lot 16 lies perhaps the most incredible opportunity between both of our bred female sales for those who are astute enough to see it. 150-7 is out of "Tara", the Grand Overall Gilt at COBA in 2023 bred by TKO Genetics that we purchased at OYE for $37k (photos included - Tara's recent photo from two weeks ago). This mating to Savior was intended to make us some killer females and that's exactly what 150-7 is. Her dam, 14-1, was purchased to be a herd builder and it's not often that those more expensive purchases actually turn out to be as good as you'd hoped but she has honestly surpassed our expectations. She's currently in the crate raising her fifth litter (sired by DL 26 btw), and through her first four litters she's averaged 9.25 born alive, 11 weaned, and 147.5 weaning weight!!! Not too bad for a heavy muscled show gilt that won one of the most competitive gilt shows in the country!! 150-7 has mommas muscularity, pin width, and spread up high and she carries an extremely square, busted open skeleton down to the surface. She's mated to help build someone's program (and the same way we mated her mom this time): to DL 26.

We have been extremely fortunate to house some of the most influential boars in the country right here in Colusa, and one of the big reasons that they became so influential was because we had the numbers within our sowherd to turn them loose and let them prove themselves. We also were fortunate enough at the time to have both the foresight and the resources to be able to clone some of these animals and we have utilized the cloning process probably more than any other breeder over the years. We were SOOO LUCKY that we cloned both Wedding Night and Outta Line and made the clones Junior and Outta Line Clone pictured here. On top of that, we were able to freeze a good amount of semen on both and we have that to go back to now when we need it. We were show pig breeder of the year in 2019, and it was largely because of Wedding Night and Outta Line. A handful of champions they made that year:

And the list goes on, and on. 2018 was perhaps even better. The point is, there's a great opportunity here whether you want to plan your matings or just stick some in the tank for a day when it's needed. We promise these two are still extremely relevant and will be utilized once again within our program.

He is just one of those special animals that you thank God that you have in your barn.
• Loud N Clear has hair dripping off of him, his legs are so hairy that the hair curls above his back feet. His skull is enormous as are his legs. More importantly, he’s a true athlete when set in motion and I would describe his rear leg and hock placement as perfect. He’s got a bold, wide, square chest, a gorgeous upper rib, and a big pinset. We need to pattern our hip and hind leg design after this guy! His pastern strength is ideal and he honestly looks like a show barrow that can win anywhere he goes. Needless to say, he will see heavy use here in Colusa and we believe he is a very important piece to the puzzle!
