SALE DETAILS

The Ladies of Our Legacy Sale is extra special this year and we are thrilled to be hosting a live event for this once again! This set of females has been in the works for over a year and we are extremely proud of the set we are selling. A large portion of the offering are gilts we saved back from summer and fall 2024 litters that have been pegged for this event from the start. A Lot of time and thought has been put into making these matings and we believe these females will set our customers up for some big successes next year. We have also included several proven sows that have already contributed at a high level to our program, some that have written quite a story.

All females listed as "bred" are guaranteed to be carrying a litter. All bred females we are offering in the Ladies of Our Legacy Sale have been ultrasounded and confirmed pregnant by Dr. Nell Moore on October 29th, with the exception of the two February breds who at this time are not far enough along to ultrasound. Ottenwalter Show Pigs views the total purchase price of a bred female as 60% attributed to sow value and 40% to the litter value. Should a "bred" female not turn out to be bred, the buyer will be entitled to a 40% refund of the purchase price. Hauling fees are not our responsibility to refund.

We were more than happy to put 66-7 at the top of the sale listing as she is about as easy on the eyes as they get! And when you juxtapose her photo next to her mom's from CYAE they almost look like twins! 66-7 is out of "Chanel", the Grand Champion Crossbred Gilt at CYAE in 2023 that was shown by Makayla Sciortino and her pedigree was Killshot x May We All. "Chanel" was an easy winner at CYAE that year, then she turned around and made a gorgeous little sow for us before we offered her in the Bred for Success Sale last summer. She was purchased by Foor and Shepherd in Ohio and just recently raised the Reserve Champion Market Gilt at the Ohio State Fair.  Like momma, 66-7 is one sexy girl from the side. She's tall fronted yet short backed and she's extremely shapely. She has always had a hard back and big pinset and she comes with a tremendously good set of running gears -- strong pasterns and a square hock. She has been pegged to be a highlight of the Legacy Sale for quite some time and we believe her pending litter by Loud N Clear can be as good as anything in the entire offering!

Breeding hogs is a responsibility that we do our best to put time and thought into and it honestly gets harder every year to do it right. We believe it is extremely important to continue to incorporate purebreds into our cross program where we can and we have done it forever. Look at what May We All did for our program and what he continues to do for the industry. There is tremendous opportunity right now with the addition of light cross divisions everywhere to utilize some York influence and that's exactly what we were thinking when we made the 9 litter last summer. 9-10's sire The Warden at Southern Gold has been doing an awesome job and we actually have two foundation York females sired by him that we love. 9-10 if mated right will absolutely make light cross and York-classifying winners on the biggest stages. Her dam 167-9 (3 Peat x On Target 108-2 x Renig 28-8) and her two sisters have been cornerstone females for us and they hail from the same great sow family that built our cross program. For those who like numbers: 9-10's mom and sisters have averaged 12 born alive, 8.6 weaned over 6 litters (167-9), 11.33 born alive, 8.66 weaned over 6 litters (167-7),  10.9 born alive, 7.33 weaned over 7 litters (167-11). Additionally, 9-10's littermate sister just weaned her October litter: 11 born alive, 11 weaned, 150 lb 21-day weight. This is the kind that makes money for a show pig breeder!

27-11's genetic package represents proven stock that works and makes money year after year. Her sire, Sunset and his littermate Sunrise at Morgan Genetics have done a bang up job for our program and are responsible for LOTS of wins this past summer -- one of the more notable ones being Palyn Miller's Grand Overall Kootenai Classic Barrow. Sunrise and Sunset's pedigrees essentially are lined up Best Man which has been the backbone of the Morgan program for many years and he of course was the sire of Wedding Night. To further intensify this in 27-11 is her 147-8 Junior x Sunshine & Whiskey mom, as Junior was the Wedding Night clone. 147-8 is currently in the crate raising her ninth litter, and over her first 8 litters she's averaged 11.25 born alive, 11 weaned, and 123 lb weaning weight. Not to mention she's made many winners for our program and most importantly laid several daughters back in. This is the good stuff here! To sweeten the opportunity further, 27-11 is bred to DL 26!

21-14 has been one of our favorites from this gilt pool since the start and she hails from a very large, deep litter. The 21's in summer of '24 were very popular and easy to sell and this girl was the very best female in the litter. Her 194-8 dam is our very favorite My Intention daughter and her extended pedigree reads: (my Intention x May We All 224-7 x Rockstar 196-5), making her a descendant of the great sow family that raised Game of Thrones, Game On, Game Plan, and of course the 224's who have risen to the top of the genetic pool here in Colusa. We couldn't be more excited about our DL 48 pigs and he saw many of our better females moving into this season: you can expect more bone, hair, skull, and feature from 48 than about anything. As a side note, 21-14's mom just weaned 12 DL 48-sired pigs and they were all belted, meaning she's homozygous black. Based on what we've seen with Slaps, it can be inferred that 21-14 is likely as well, so we'd expect all belted/black pigs from this pending mating. Momma stats on 194-8: 12.33 born alive, 9 weaned over her first 3 litters.

If 23-10 doesn't get you excited, then we aren't sure we can! We absolutely love this female and as easy as she is on the eyes, her best feature is her pedigree. Her dam, End Game 201-5 is genetic gold around Colusa as she's the best granddaughter of Jack Daniels 142-4. Between those two females, they are responsible for over 2 dozen daughters and granddaughters working within the herd and over the years, that sow line has emerged as one of the very most superior for our program. The Next Play mating here was made to make daughters, and it sure gave us two elite ones: both being offered in the Legacy Sale. This 23-10 comes with the front-end extension, hard back, and big pinset that they all want nowadays and with the proven pedigree and performance to get the work done. Mated to DL 26, we'd expect these pigs to be extremely valuable come January. Momma 201-5 stats: 10.25 born alive, 9.5 weaned with 126 lb weaning weight over 4 litters.

24-5 ranks WAY UP THERE on our list if you text and ask who are our favorites, she's on it if not at the very top! She is a GORGEOUS gilt we kept back from last summer's and has been meant to be a highlight of this event for a long time! Sire Sunrise at Kurt Morgan's continues to generate winners and he made our very favorite pig of the year last year: Palyn Miller's Grand Overall at Kootenai Classic. The 204-6 dam here is a true generator, making the elite 206 litter White Out pigs that we offered in our August online sale and were extremely well-received and will have a chance to win at the majors. The 24 litter that 24-5 herself hails from was extremely deep with ALL mate barrows finding Texas show homes. Dam stats on 204-6: 9.33 born alive, 8 weaned, 100 lb weaning weight over 6 litters. One thing we will tell you is our Last Dance sows have been worth their weight in gold and 24-5's mom ranks amongst the best of them. Big time opportunity here!

It's not every day that you get a chance to own a daughter of 124-8, but here she is in 36-6. 124-8 was Lexi's Reserve Grand Gilt at Arizona Nationals in 2019, but more importantly she has been a true cornerstone female for us and she was a daughter of Jack Daniels 142-2 (142-4's mate sister). Like all of 124-8's daughter's, 36-6 is great designed, has a gorgeous hip and hind leg, is bold chested, and brings plenty of muscle and shape to the table. Again, this is the type of female that has not only kept us in business, but has kept us at the forefront of the show pig genetic game over the years. We couldn't be more excited about her pending first mating to DL 26 and one can expect some very valuable pigs to sell come January!

65-5 is an extremely good Different League daughter and these Different League females are really proving their worth! As you might guess, we have several DL daughters working within the herd and they are no doubt the future of our program in many ways. The 130-8 Rowdy Rebound dam of 65-5 has done a tremendous job for us both in terms of pig quality and also performance. She raised Reese Vierra's Reserve Champion 4-H Barrow at the California State Fair last year, and in terms of production she's averaged 9.33 born alive with 8.5 weaned over 4 litters. 130-8's dam was the great 176-1 He is What He Is sow who raised both May We All and also the Foresight 115-12 sow who has impacted our program in a huge way.

We've gotten our sow base to the point it's at over the years through many different ideologies but perhaps the most impactful one has been our ability to linebreed. 83-3 in our opinion represents that plan very well with her sire being the 51-2 boar at Top Cut, bred here, whose pedigree reads: BD 40-1 (BR 64-1 x Straight Survivor x Fortune x Renig 28-9 x PR 4-8) x Up Down 124-8 (Up Down x Jack Daniels 142-2 x Wedding Night 34-2 x No Fare 10-11 x PR 4-8). On the bottom side of 83-3 is End Game 17-8 (End Game x Jack Daniels 142-4 x Wedding Night 34-2 x No Fare 10-11 x PR 4-8). Not only do both of 51-2's parents go back to the same sow family, but so does 51-2's grand sire, and then on the bottom the 17-8 dam also goes back to the same sow family. CONSISTENCY is the key here, and in general this sow family is good built, muscular, and most importantly PRODUCTIVE. When outcrossed, LOOK OUT! 83-3's first mating here is not exactly a complete outcross but we'd expect some really fun blue and belted show pigs and some potential keeper gilts!

If you're looking for a "sure bet" type female that'll be extra productive and at the same time raise winners, 28-6 is as close as you're going to get to a "sure bet" in this business. Her dam is the great 224-9 sow who serves as one of the backbones of our herd along with her sisters. 224-9 is a littermate to 224-10 who was the Grand Overall Gilt at CYAE in 2021 shown by Paige Vierra. Another sister, 224-3, raised the Grand Overall and $100K Gilt at CYAE in 2023 shown by Harlie Deschaine. And of the three siblings, we definitely have the most daughters out of 224-9 (pictured). On top of this, the dam of the 224's is none other than Rockstar 196-5: Game of Thrones, Game On, and Game Plan's mom. 196-5 also just recently raised the boar prospect we sold to Southern Gold Sires this fall who was our very favorite pig of the season. By the numbers: 224-9 has an average 13.22 born alive, 10.33 weaned over 9 litters. Superior show pig genetics at their finest here.

We were beyond thrilled with our Tarantino litters last summer and retained a multitude of elite daughters. These Tarantinos look to be the kind that'll generate the bone, hair, feature, and square build that we all need and yet can perform for us show pig breeders in terms of breeding, farrowing, and the things that keep us in business. As I write this, our first Tarantinos have hit the crate and they are exceeding expectations. I'd encourage anyone with questions about Tarantino daughters to reach out to Mike McCoy, a man who truly understands the value of functional show pig females in today's world. 56-4 is very pleasing to the eye in terms of her design and look from the side, and she's awesome built at the ground. We'd expect some added feature from Loud N Clear and no doubt some killer pigs to sell in January!

No doubt 32-9 has been one of the most asked-about females since we've gotten photos up and we expect she will turn even more heads at the live preview on Friday, as she is one of the most beautiful females in the offering. Our friendship with Kurt Morgan over the years has proven very fruitful for our program -- from the purchase of Wedding Night, to Outmannned making Outta Line for us, and more recently the impact that Sunrise and Sunset are making. Mark my words, these Sunrise/Sunset daughters are going to be big time generators! In the interest of those wanting some elite light cross pigs to market next season, we mated 32-9 to DL 112-1 which should be SWEET!!

BIG TIME OPPORTUNITY HERE!! * 136-7 may be as good as we've sold! We've had big plans for this year's Legacy Sale for a long time, and as we reduce our numbers here a bit there's just lots of great opportunities for those who are looking: perhaps none bigger than 136-7 though! 136-7 is dammed by the 51-9 sow who was Grand Overall at the Cornhusker Show Down in 2023 in Nebraska shown by the Hirschfeld family. Fast forward one year, and 51-9's sister 51-8 (pictured) is the dam of the DL 112's. These two 51 litter sows have proven their worth time and again, and they are so elite because they are dammed by Last Dance 53-7, who was out of Jack Daniels 142-4. All linebred, all the good stuff that originated right here. Add an outcross to Modern Day in the mix and when you consider that phenotypically, 136-7 is as impressive as perhaps any in the set and THEN the fact that her mating brings back the same sow family on the bottom side and now we're talking about truly breeding hogs.

27-6 should get you fired up if you want to raise a litter that can WIN in 2026. We used Heavy Hitter hard for summer of '23 litters and it resulted in a large number of daughters kept and many of our very best ones currently in production are Heavy Hitter daughters. Like most of her half-sibs, 27-6 is loaded with power in terms of both muscle and bone. She's moderate framed with a tall fronted, shorter backed look and she's built right at the ground in terms of squareness of build and pastern strength. She offers a bit of an atypical pedigree on the bottomside: Hands to Yourself x Total Addiction. Her first litter sired by Family Man was extremely good and she weaned 9 pigs with a 115 lb weaning weight. Her second parity by Different League produced one of the better pigs in our May online sale and she weaned 7 pigs with a 100 lb weaning weight. No doubt the DL 26's she's carrying will be her best litter yet and they should set anyone up for some success with summer shows.

All Out War and Out For Blood were used extensively for last summer's litters and many of our better ones were sired by those two boars. This 50-10 gilt was a standout from day 1 and she brings forth the kind of pedigree we want to see around here nowadays: powered up Tricked Out stuff on the top and End Game/lined up Super Monster type stuff on the bottom. Again, breeding hogs is so much more than just phenotype!! This pedigree lends to success because it can BOTH create winners and also create replacements for the next generation depending on what you want to do. 50-10's dam is pictured: End Game 17-6, and it was a tragic day when we lost her last summer. She was yet another daughter of Jack Daniels 142-4, and in her 3 litters she averaged 12 born alive and 10 weaned. 50-10 is carrying one of the first litters of DL 61's, and for those keeping track of pedigrees his reads: Different League x Tr3cked Out 39-9 x Foresight 90-6 x Jack Daniels 142-4

53-6 definitely ranks in the top 3 for most asked-about females in the auction and she's another one we'd say is easy to fall in love with from a visual standpoint. Here's the best part: once you dig into what she is, it only gets sweeter. Pictured is her dam 41-8 (American Spirit x Hands to Yourself 127-8 x Wedding Night 43-1). These American Spirit sows have been the BOMB in terms of raising winners and 41-8 has averaged 8.25 born alive, 9.66 weaned, 120 lb weaning weight over 4 litters thus far. 53-6 herself is carrying her second litter. Her first litter, sired by Family Man, was marketed in our April 26 online sale and 3 barrows (pictured) sell for $7250, $2550, $2150. In raising that litter, 53-6 farrowed 10, weaned 10, weaning weight 100 lbs. Bred to DL 26, one can only expect the litter she's carrying to be even better.

If you're into cheetah print, 16-10 is the sow for you! Regardless of color, this one is visually very impressive, and we have tried hard to keep as many Game of Thrones daughters as we can over the past couple years. 16-10 is unique in her lineage on the bottom side: her dam 253-5 was Hands to Yourself x Wedding Night 245-5 x Kissing Cousins 89-2, and 89-2 was our high-dollar exchange purchase from Wintex several years back that was Lock It Ups mom. 16-10 has farrowed one litter here, the 16 litter Heavyweights marketed in our March farm sale this spring and they were extremely good pigs. She farrowed 8, raised 10, weaning weight 110 lbs. Mated to DL 26 there will be some calicos here as we've seen some in his first litters hitting the ground, and they will no doubt be extra stout!

While most of the females in the Legacy Sale are first parity gilts, we are offering a handful of proven females and 67-8 may be the most proven out of all of them in the sale from the standpoint of raising big litters of sellable pigs that have made us money and winners. When we purchased Hands to Yourself (End Game's brother) from Kyle Hicks at TKO several years ago, the purpose behind that was to make females and he did a far better job of that than we ever imagined. 67-8 is a prime example. In her five litters, she's averaged 10.4 born, 9 weaned, and we should keep track of how many make the show pig sale because a very large percentage of hers have. Her pending mating to DL 61 should be absolutely ideal in terms of phenotype and no doubt they'll be extra fun to market come 2026!

We are letting go of one of the 24 litter sows! And to be honest, the only reason is because she's a calico. 24-6 is out of our great May We All 224-9 sow, the same that 28-6 in this sale is also out of. As mentioned in 28-6's description: Her dam is the great 224-9 sow who serves as one of the backbones of our herd along with her sisters. We feel like we can sell 24-5 because we still will have her three sisters who continue to generate at a high level. 24-5 is carrying her second parity which is a textbook mating to DL 112-1.

The 138's were our deepest and my personal favorite litter of the October pigs last fall and it was ridiculously easy to fall in love with 138-3 and her sisters. I'd encourage you to check out our January '25 sale on the archives of our website and view the mates to this one: that whole litter was incredible. Their dam, Buckle Up 24-6, is a drop dead gorgeous daughter of May We All 224-9 and she has three awesome mate sisters, one of which, 24-5, is also in this sale. 24-6 has averaged 13 born live, 11 weaned in her two litters with 124 lb average weaning weight. 138-3 here is the type of female that raises pigs that can be sold very expensive, pigs that can win, and at the same time should do a good job in terms of productivity and management. Being a Different League daughter only enhances her value. This is the kind that elevates any program to the next level.

It's easy to figure out which one is the photographer's favorite when he starts moving all around and squatting down to photo one and then sends multiple photos of that one! We are very fortunate to have Zack Lear come out and photo this set for us, and if you don't know Zack, not only is he incredibly talented but he's also a really good stockman. It doesn’t take much to love 201-5 though! She is one of our proven sows in the offering, but we don't even think she's half done with her journey, and the sky is the limit with what she can accomplish. Over her last three litters, she's farrowed 32 total pigs and weaned 27. And they have been extremely good pigs each time. She is the dam of our 182-6 Silver Bullet sow who is also destined for great things and raised our best February litter. 201-5 herself was a show gilt for Amaya Slay in the northwest in '21, where she garnered plenty of banners before she was through! Big time opportunity here, and I think it's safe to say we'd expect her DL 26 pigs to be her very best litter yet.

Awesome young Game of Thrones sow and if you can't tell, we've put a lot of eggs in the Game of Thrones basket from the female side. These females are extremely stout structured, have good hair texture, are big ribbed, and most importantly are very good built. In this business, that makes them great showpig mommas-- breed to a powered-up boar and you have an instant recipe for success. (IE, DL 112-1). To further sweeten the pot, 125-5 has a linebred momma with a tremendous track record.

These 23's sure have been popular and as young pigs they were out of a tremendous litter also. Their dam, End Game 201-5 is genetic gold around Colusa as she's the best granddaughter of Jack Daniels 142-4. 23-11 no doubt has the "sowier" look of the pair: she's bolder ribbed, a shot more moderate, and stouter featured than her sister. Honestly, she looks more like her mom. Momma 201-5 stats: 10.25 born alive, 9.5 weaned with 126 lb weaning weight over 4 litters.

139-5 is another one of our females that has been meant to be a highlight for the Legacy Sale for a long time. As a young pig last winter, many asked to buy her/show her and we said no. Genetically, we believe she's even more valuable than she would have been as a show gilt. Her dam was (Game of Thrones x Bad Man 51-1), that 51-1 sow was the dam of BOTH Rowdy Rebound and BR 64-1!! 139-5 comes with the big legs and the trademark DL "shag" that is quite honestly the best in the business. We believe Heavyweight is an ideal first mating here, he is a boar we cannot wait to roll out during the boar parade Saturday.

106-7 could prove to be as valuable as anything in the sale, based on who she is and what she can do. Her dam is none other than "Cardi B", the Grand Overall Gilt at CYAE in 2021 shown by Paige Vierra. Since then, Cardi and her multiple sisters have become the backbone of our herd and are responsible for not only a large chunk of the winners we've made these last few years but also a large percentage of the females we've kept back. 106-7's grand dam would be the famous Rockstar 196-5 sow, who is Game of Thrones, Game On, and Game Plan's mom and also who just raised our best prospect of the fall '25 crop that sold to Southern Gold Sires. It's not every day we offer a female out of this sow, and then to make it an even sweeter opportunity, her sire is Different League: these DL females are proving to be worth their weight in gold. From a phenotypic standpoint, she is a textbook mating for DL 112-1, and we'd expect both some killer blues and belts in the litter.

182-3 was a very easy to find keeper gilt from last fall and she was out of one of the first Heavyweight litters to hit the ground. Her dam 193-5 was always one of our favorite Hands to Yourself daughters phenotypically and she averaged 10.2 born alive and 9 weaned over five litters. Grand dam Square Edge 85-10 was Grand at Nebraska State Fair several years ago and she was destined for greatness as a sow but we lost her early in life. Whether you love color or not, the litter this one is carrying should be extra colorful and they would be very linebred in terms of pedigree as well.

What all show pig keeper gilts should look like!! This 133-6 is the kind we've built around forever and the kind that'll last years and keep your program at the top (and profitable). Her sire Savior at RW Genetics in Texas was used to make keeper gilts and he did an outstanding job of that in addition to making several winners for us, including the Grand Overall at Jackson County Fair last year. 133-6 herself is a littermate to Jaxon Neuenschwander's gilt that won everywhere she went this past spring and summer, and her dam 140-9 is a littermate to the dam of Jaxon's gilt last year who was even more dominant. There's a little different pedigree back in this one: American Spirit x Visionary 8-2 x Swagger 3-6: would go back to the $20K 3-6 Swagger sow we bought in the very first Heimer Built the Brand Sale.

176-1 is one of those heart-of-the-herd type females that's linebred around the same sow family through almost all legs of her pedigree and is phenotypically very impressive. She's really good legged, square built, and great designed from the side and yet comes in a moderate package with great width of skeleton and an up-headed look. Dam 142-2 "Dory" and her sister 142-4 have been so influential on our sow herd, honestly, we had no idea just how influential they would truly become. 142-2 raised the 124-8 sow (pictured) who was Reserve Grand at Arizona Nationals in 2019 and went on to be an incredible generator for us-- raising the 51-2 boar at Top Cut in addition to a plethora of females kept back here in Colusa. Bred to American Gangster we'd expect an added shot of elevation and muscle and some really exciting pigs to sell.

"Electric Blue's" sister!!! It's no secret that we sell a TON of pigs to the Jackson County Fair in Oregon every year and it's widely hailed as the most competitive fair in the state and one of the most in the western US: it is REALLY tough to win Jackson County Fair! 144-10's brother shown by Scotland Brotherton got it done this year, and he was coined "Electric Blue" by judge Ryan Rash and even received the famous glitter slap in the process. "Electric Blue" enjoyed a successful show career aside from Jackson County and was also Grand Overall at the Stateline Jackpot. Dam 135-8 here has done a very good job for us, she's raised two litters with an average of 11 born alive and 10 weaned. We are offering her sister 135-5 in Tuesday's Second Chance Bred Sale (pictured) as well. If you LOVE sexy blue pigs, here's the female for you especially with the way she's mated!

21-4 is out of the End Game 17-6 sow, which is the same mom that 50-10 in this same sale has (pictured). She was yet another daughter of Jack Daniels 142-4, and in her 3 litters she averaged 12 born alive and 10 weaned. If you love pedigrees, we think 21-4's is ideal for a show pig momma: sired by Family Man (Game of Thrones--End Game son back on his mom), and back on and End Game x Jack Daniels x Wedding Night sow. If we were to map out how much Super Monster and Super 7 would be back in there it would be a TON! She's mated to DL 61 which should make for some EXTRA STOUT pigs!

112-8 "Carmelita" is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for those who realize what she is and how special she is. She is a littermate to Payln Miller's Grand Overall Barrow at the Kootenai Classic who was hands-down the best showpig we've seen thus far in 2025. He was one of those special pigs that gives you goosebumps every time you see him and a foot injury prevented him from showing much in the spring, but luckily, they were able to get him put back together and he won for fun -- in our opinion that barrow could have won anywhere he went! Carmelita's mom, 13-8 (pictured), came from Decker Show Pigs and she was sired by Buckle Up back on Tricked Out's sister and Wild Side's mom. She only ever farrowed the one litter for us, in which she had 9 pigs and raised 8 and they proved extremely valuable at our January Sale last year. Of course, since Murphy (from Murphy's law) was a pig farmer, we lost her this summer, and we truly believe she was destined for greatness. This is the one and only chance at a daughter and 112-8 here is extremely good. She's awesome built, up headed and sexy, and bred to a powerhouse of a boar. We'd expect her pigs to be monster legged and shaggy and very, very fun to sell!

Sired by Family Man back on a killer young (Buckle Up x May We All 224-9) sow who is a littermate to lot 19 in this same sale. As a first parity gilt, she's gorgeous designed and really good built from the ground up with strong pasterns and a great hind leg: the kind you use a power boar on and rock on! Pedigree is very linebred, going back to the great Rockstar 196-5 sow (Game of Thrones mom) twice on the top side and also on the bottom side and don't forget -- there's plenty of muscle in these Family Mans.

"It will be wise to have elite Different League daughters in production" -- said about everyone who is familiar with our program and Streber's program, and 165-9 could be the very best one we've offered at this point. She was a gilt we leased to the Milliron family in Idaho who enjoyed a very successful summer showing her and she capped out at her county fair as Grand Champion. What's even more important, in our eyes, is who she is: she is dammed by the 90-6 Foresight x Jack Daniels 142-4 sow (there's 142-4 showing up again) who is the grand dam of DL 61. 90-6 (pictured) is getting some age on her and she's still in production because she has extremely good pigs. She's in the crate now with litter number 11, and over her first ten parities she has averaged 8.44 born alive, 9 weaned, and 104 weaning weight. There's no doubt the Gangster litter inside this one will have a chance to be really special, and no doubt the future with 165-9 as a female to build upon looks very bright.

186-8 is a gorgeous young female, and we never know what folks think of the pictures, but I can easily say this one will be a favorite of our in-person guests this weekend. She looks very much like her mom (pictured) and her mom's sister who is in Tuesday's second chance online sale. They are the End Game 153 litter sows and littermates to "Mr. Shag", who was our Exchange entry in 2022 that stood at Southern Gold Sires. Just as important, they are dammed by the great Up Down 124-8 sow (Lexi's Reserve Grand at ANLS and dam of 51-2), making her the grand dam of 186-8. One leg deeper into the pedigree is the great 142-2 Jack Daniels "Dory" sow who was the dam of 124-8. It's easy to see this one's phenotype fits the bill and a stout made, attractive, yet correctly built female, and we believe she's set up for instant success with the DL 26 mating -- these pigs could be as valuable as anything in the entire set.

We don't have a picture for 20-3 as she just didn't want to do it for us on photo day, but she will be in the previews on Friday and Saturday and she's most definitely worth paying attention to. She is dammed by none other than 53-7 (pictured) who is the grand dam of the DL 112's and who is arguably the very best daughter of Jack Daniels 142-4. 53-7 is genetic gold for us, and 20-3's mating to 112-1/-4 lines her up tightly on both sides of the pedigree, making this pending litter extremely valuable. 20-3 herself has raised two litters for us, the first parity she farrowed 9 and raised all 9 and the second parity she farrowed 8 and raised 8. Just as important, her 44 litter offered in the March sale (pictured - 5 males sold in March) were wildly popular and those five barrows sold for a combined $15k. Herein lies one BIG OPPORTUNITY in 20-3!

Bread and Butter female here in 171-10 and she may turn out to be the best buy in the entire offering. Being bred for February, she is just passed over as I type this so obviously, we don't see much belly in her photo, but we'd advise DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THIS ONE!! She is dammed by 183-10 (Hands to Yourself x Short Bus 12-3 x Renig 15-10) and that is the GOOD STUFF! Renig 15-10 may be the best female to ever walk in Colusa, perhaps even more influential than 4-8 ever was!! We'll give you some stats here on this one: 171-10 is carrying her third litter, she has weaned 18 pigs in her first two litters and averaged 110 weaning weight. Her dam, 183-10, still working here in Colusa, is in the crate with her eighth litter. Over her first 7 parities she's averaged 12.14 born alive, 11.5 weaned, 155 lb weaning weight! Mated to 112-4 we think is textbook for her, and there is a tremendous future for 171-10!

Unfortunately, Different League's semen has been down for about 5 months now and as each day passes it is looking more bleak that it'll come back. Different League x Tricked Out x Foresight

DL 61 is an incredible specimen, and while those words might be floated around loosely at the boar studs nowadays, we don’t take them lightly. There’s a reason that the Different League sons have been piling up here in Colusa and it isn’t because they suck!

This guy brings bone and hair as well as his daddy did if not a little better. He comes in a moderate, square package with a really good hind leg and a strong pastern yet — two things that seem harder to come by as each year passes. He has a super stout show barrow type head and big square chest and while he’s calico, you can bet he will sire plenty of belted pigs on the right sows. Extended pedigree reads: Different League x Tr3cked Out 39-9 x Foresight 90-6 x Jack Daniels 142-4 x Wedding Night 34-2 x No Fare 10-11. The 142-4 sow was a big time generator here that left her mark and 10-11 was No Mercy’s sister. Due to his age being a January, this guy didn’t get promoted super hard and he was used in-house extensively for his first season. He is a highlight service sire for the Ladies of Our Legacy Sale and he will continue to see heavy use within our program.

  • Different League x Rowdy Rebound 51-8 x Last Dance 53-7
  • This one is near and dear to our hearts!
  • First pigs look incredible and they have consistently been “sharper fronted” and have VERY BIG hind legs!
  • The Different League 112’s were hands-down the best litter we produced in 2024, with each individual within the litter having extra special qualities. Mate barrows included our leadoff at the California’s Exclusive Sale at CYAE and Lauren Tadman’s dominant blue barrow who was Champion Light Cross at the NJSA Western Regional and Reserve Grand at Northern Exposure.
  • DL 112-1 is phenotypically as impressive as anything we made in 2024 and he would have been hell to get around as a show barrow. He comes with daddy’s bone and extra shag, and he advances DL in terms of both extension up front and sheer muscle shape. He is a big pinned, big-backed boar and his hind leg is ideal, his reach off both ends is truly impressive, and he is perfect on his front pasterns.
  • As impressive as the trio of DL 112’s has been every day of their lives, their 51-8 (Rowdy Rebound x Last Dance 53-7) dam makes them all the more genetically valuable. Not only is she the most beautiful sow residing in Colusa, but she brings a linebred pedigree that hails back to our very beginnings. It includes a shot of Wedding Night and the great 4-8 Perfect Remedy sow is in there a TON of times.

Different League x To the Extreme 143-8

DL 26 has seen more use than any other sire here in Colusa in 2025 and he is a boar that we have supreme confidence in. We kept him quiet through the summer and fall as he shattered his hip at a young age, making it difficult to get a photo, and it was that much easier to use him hard across the board here. Next to no semen has been sold on this guy, making the Ladies of Our Legacy and the Ottenwalter Farm Sales your only opportunities to buy pigs!

This guy hails from our very best litter farrowed last winter that included Palyn Miller’s dominant barrow in the northwest this year (Grand at both SOJC and Kootenai Classic and Reserve Grand at the Spring Classic), and also the Reserve Grand Gilt and 4th Overall Market at Kootenai also shown by Palyn Miller. As impressive as his mates have been from the start, DL 26 was always a standout as the stoutest, densest individual in the litter and out of all the sons we have in stud we’d say 26 is the most similar to daddy. His 143-8 (To the Extreme x Foresight 115-12) momma is the front pasture kind and quite possibly the very best sow currently residing in Colusa.

We’d advise to use DL 26 like his daddy: expect him to bring a big skull and huge features with big time hair and shag. We expect he will add moderation of frame and maintain a square built skeleton at the ground with strong front pasterns. He bred many of our very best ones going into the 2026 show season!

Different League x Rowdy Rebound 51-8 x Last Dance 53-7

  • After seeing our very first DL 112-4’s hit the chips we are WAY IN and using him harder this breeding season!
  • DL 112-4 is a true power hog and he’s your man if you need a shot of muscle and shape while maintaining bone and shag. His skull, chest, and image coming at you is as good as it gets, he is perfect at his knee and dead square at the surface. He’s very short-backed, has a monster rib, and he offers a bigger pinset and more topside power than anything in stud. All the while his hock placement is ideal and pastern strength is perfect.
  • As impressive as this trio has been every day of their lives, their 51-8 (Rowdy Rebound x Last Dance 53-7) dam makes them all the more genetically valuable.
